In this video from our How-To Series for FARO® BuildIT Construction Software, you see how BuildIT Construction can be used to compare scan data to an Autodesk® Revit® model.
Specifically, this video demonstrates how to analyze the column and random beam positions from the CAD data. The data is filtered to an area just around the column to create an analysis of how close the scan data is to the design model. Processing time for this particular example was around 5 minutes.
Users can verify accuracy of as-built scan data to design models, as well as ensure adherence to BIM by detecting components or assemblies that were constructed and any incorrect placement or missing features, such as walls, columns, beams, pipes, etc.
