RFK Racing Unboxes FARO Quantum Max ScanArms and a Whole Lot More

For RFK Racing, one of the top American automotive sports team, the holiday season came early!

That’s because in Spring 2024, the company, as part of its new partnership with FARO® and the creation of the FARO Tech Center, acquired several FARO Quantum Max ScanArms, FARO 8-Axis Max rotary worktables, FARO Vantage Max Laser Trackers with 6Probes, FARO CAM2® and FARO RevEng software. Together, the 3D laser measurement tools will allow RFK to take the next step in advancing the automotive racing industry, furthering its development of Industry 4.0 applications, bringing the fully “smart factory” of the future, one step closer to today.

By scanning medium to large parts in a non-destructive manner and measuring hard-to-scan parts beyond the line-of-sight, RFK’s team of engineers can identify part alignment errors faster, reverse engineer parts with ease, ensure vehicle safety, and share that data in secure digital formats. From chassis and engines, to dashboards, every component of a race car and its constituent parts can be scanned accurately and with precision, before and after a race.

With rapid unboxing and easy setup, the Quantum Max and Vantage Max were ready to go in a matter of minutes. Minimal training was required on the equipment and the RFK staff started scanning almost immediately.

Watch this engaging unboxing video to see the RFK team get up to speed and start using their FARO products for all their medium to large part assembly, inspection, and reverse engineering needs.
